As I collect photographs connected to my work, i will be publishing them in this album for you to look at. Hopefully, I will be able to add more in the future and perhaps you will find them interesting.
These first photos are of the Swansea and Gower Cancer Group that i have done voluntary work with.
The people who help run this group are dedicated and hard working, from the committee members, through to the therapists, people that work hard in the canteen and the helpers that assist during the day.
The clients who attend the group are a pleasure to know, they join in having an active part in the running of the group and the charity shop and supporting each other in the process.
The charity shop in Eversley Road Sketty is pictured here on its opening day with our Patron Dr Salah el-Sharkawi doing the honours. Also shown with him is our chairwoman Yvonne Young, Trustee & Chaplin the Rev Eldon Phillips and shop manager at the time, Julian Till.
Also shown, is the group picture of those of us who took part in a charity walk to generate money for the group. It was a strenuous couple of hours walking over the North Gower hills and a much needed sum of money was raised.
The groups intention is to be able to raise enough funds to have their own building and possibly open it throughout the week. The charity shop is a source of regular income for the group and all donations are welcome.
